On Saturday, December 3, 2011 Vernon Darden age 56 of 234 Cherita St, Spring Lake, North Carolina was called home to eternal rest. Vernon was the son of the late William and Ethel Hinnant Darden.
Service celebrating his life will be held Saturday at 2 pm at St. Rose Church of Christ Disciples of Christ 605 S. Douglas St, Wilson. The Rev. Joe Darden will officiate, and Rev. Percy Darden will preside. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Precious memories are cherished by hsi son, Demercus McCrae of Selma, NC; his siblings, Adella Darden of Wilson,NC, Shirley Darden-Gibson (Dennis) of Greenville, NC, Lorenza Darden (Eveta) of ElmCity, NC, Mozella Anderson (Jesse) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Carolyn Laneof College Park, GA, Louise Williams of Bowie, MD, Frances Thompson (Bennie) of Dorchester, MA, Ethel Lean Darden, Doris Douglas, Helen Darden and Marilyn Darden all of NewYork; a host of nieces, nephews,other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Friday from 3 pm to 7 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will assemble at the funeral home one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
