Wanda Denise Lucas Williams age 49 of 128 Powell St, Wilson was born in Wilson, North Carolina to Janie Lee Woodard and Fredrick Woodard. She passed away peacefully on Sunday at the Wilson Medical Center.
Wanda attended the Wilson County Public Schools where she graduated from E.T. Beddingfield High School in 1981. Having a desire to further her education, Wanda attended Wilson Technical Community College to pursue a degree in Early Childhood.
Wanda will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Preceding her in death were, her husband, Anthony Williams; her stepfather, Jasper Adams; and two sisters, Katrina Leach and Cassandra King.
Her memory will continue to linger in the heart of two daughters, Antoinette Lucas (Terrence) of Wilson, NC and Tandra Williams (Lovary) of the home; her mother, Janie Woodard (Walter) of Wilson, NC; her father, Frederick Woodard of Wilson, NC; two sisters, Deana Armstrong (Anthony) and Banesta Barron (Anthony) of Wilson, NC; six brothers, Jasper Adams, Jr., Billy Adams, Keith Adams, David Adams and Freddie King of Wilson, NC; two aunts, Mozelle High (Ray) and Shirley Hill (James) of Wilson, NC; four grandchildren, Na'ligi Barnes, Mya Barnes, Aa'Zyon and Johnta' Taylor of Wilson, nC; four sisters-in-law, Royce Lucas, Sabrina Adams, Wanda Williams and Connie Sharpe; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Thursday from 2 pm to 6 pm at Carrons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends atthe residence and at 1616 Washington St, Wilson. They will assemble at 128 Powell St, Wilson one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
