William Arthur Batts, son of the late Percy and Mattie Applewhite Batts passed away on October 22, 2011 at his residence, 260 Lindell Rd, Stantonsburg, NC. William was born October 9, 1946 in Greene County, North Carolina where he received his education in the Greene County Public Schools.
He was employed with the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
Left to cherish loving memories are his siters, Nora "Penny" Jones ((Ernest) of Wilson, NC, Selma Hilliard (John) of Stantonsburg, NC and Rosa Hinton of Goldsboro, NC; his brothers, Linwood Batts (Jackie) of Dale City, VA and Amos Batts of Goldsboro, NC; one aunt, Bertha Batts of Pikeville, NC; seven nieces, eight nephews, a host of great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at 1100 Churchill Ave, Wilson and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
