William Hayward Forbes

Mr. William Hayward Forbes (also known as Commander Forbes), age 76, of 1714 Bynwood Drive, Wilson, North Carolina transitioned to his heavenly home peacefully on Sunday, September 10, 2023.  A celebration of his life and work will be Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023 at 11 am at L.N. Forbes Original Freewill Baptist Tabernacle, 1800 Bishop L.N. Forbes St., Wilson.  Interment will follow in the Artis Cemetery, Stantonsburg, NC.

An inspirational wake will be Friday, Sept. 15, 2023 from 6 pm to 8 pm at L.N. Forbes Tabernacle.  The family is receiving friends at the residence and will assemble there at 10 am on Saturday in preparation for the funeral procession.
