Funeral service for Willie B. Freeman age 73 of 7775 Crady Ct, Stantonsburg who died Monday will be held Thursday at 11 am at L.N. Forbes Original Free Will Baptist Tabernacle 1800 Lane St Ext, Wilson. Elder Elbert Forbes will officiate. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Willie B. was a member of Mt. Zion Original Free Will Baptist Church for many years where he served faithfully as a deacon. He served the Wilson Community through NC Love in Action where he was a charter member and through various other organizations.
Left to remember Deacon Freeman with love are his wife. Louise Freeman of the home; four children, Sharon Jones of Maryland, Gail Taylor and Maurice Freeman both of Raleigh, NC and Reginald Freeman of the home; one brother, Linell Freeman (Julia) of Maryland; three grandchildren, Brandon Ruffin (Jovonnie) of Greensboro, NC, Toya C. Taylor of Raleigh, NC and Tiffany Freeman of Prince Anne County, MD; four great grandchildren, Brandon, Brendon, Brenton and Javonna Ruffin all of Greensboro, NC; four nieces, one nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held Wednesday from 5 pm to 7 pm at Mt. Zion Church 305 Lane St, Wilson and Thursday from 10 am to 11 am at L.N. Forbes Tabernacle. The family will receive friends at all times at the residence and will assemble there one hour prior to service in preparation for the funeral procession.
